A. Only one of the following courses may be counted towards this Plan: LING 501/3.0 or LING 505/9.0. 

4. Notes

A. Students should note that many of the LING_Option courses, particularly in CISC, FREN, PHIL, PSYC, and SOCY require prerequisites.

B. Course prerequisites for Option Courses should be taken early in the program (i.e. first and second year).

C. Students enrolled in a second plan that requires at least 12.00 units of language courses (LLCU, FREN, LANG, ITLN, GMST, HISP, INDG, CLST) have the option of replacing 6.00 units of LANG_Languages courses for Option 2.B. with other courses from LING or LING_Options.

D. A maximum of 6.00 units from courses offered by other Faculties and Schools may be counted toward the program and/or Plan requirements. This includes courses in BMED, COMM, GLPH, HSCI, LAW, NURS, and courses offered by Smith Engineering.
